I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto in the department of Rehabilitation Science, as well as a research fellow at the Wilson Centre. I completed my undergraduate studies at McGill University with a focus on English literature, but have since turned my focus towards linguistics and health professions education. My research aims to improve the way we teach verbal communication to health professions learners by understanding the role of basic communication science in pedagogy.

I love to read, so picking a favourite book is tough. If given the choice, I mostly stick to fiction and recently I have really enjoyed Anxious People by Fredrik Backman, and The Break by Katherena Vermette. For podcasts, I often listen to This American Life and Radio Lab, and I really enjoyed A History of the World in 100 objects.

With 2 small kids, free time is at a bit of a premium at the moment. When I have the chance I enjoy reading and baking, and I am really hoping to get back to travelling at some point. I am currently trying very hard to make myself enjoy running.
